We understand that it is sometimes difficult to relax and take a break when driven to be on a meal plan and goal oriented. Be present and enjoy your surroundings. Don't stress about the gym or missing a meal. Do your best to make good decisions and enjoy! Indulging and beating yourself over it defeats the purpose. It is all about balance. You're not going to be perfect 100% of the time so don't expect yourself to be. Don't be so caught up in your fitness that you become miserable and miss everything going on around you. The gym will always be there when you get back!  

 

We like to lift weights and eat clean, but THAT DOESN'T MEAN WE DON'T LIKE TO PARTY! Since the holiday weekend is upon us, we are going to share some of our go-to tips for surviving this summers BBQ or any party for that matter.

 

SURVIVAL TIPS

  • Plan ahead of the party by eating clean all week. Earn that cheat meal! 

  • Have something to eat before you go

  • Do extra fasted cardio in the morning

  • Stay away from the dip

WARM UP

Jumping jacks

Alternating side lunges

Push ups

--30 seconds each move, repeat 3 times

 

30 Second jump squats (weighted for advance)    

10 Seated shoulder press' (If you do not have weight, use something fun like water jugs!)

20 Up and down planks

15 Font lunge into a reverse lunge on each leg

30 Second mountain climbers

50 Bicycle crunches

30 Second shoulder taps (on forearms for advance) 

-- Repeat 4 times

 

 

BCAA POPSICLES

These BCAA Popsicles are cool treats to serve at your July 4th party! They are super easy to make and absolutely delicious😋

 

BCAA's are three essential amino acids your body requires to operate: Leucine, Isoleucine, and Valine. These increase protein synthesis, increase muscle growth, and decrease muscle fatigue. BCAA's prevent you from slipping into s catabolic state during periods of intense training!

Ingredients:

1/4C blueberries
1/4C chopped strawberries
4 scoops Lemonade BCAA
16oz water

 

Directions:

Using popsicle mold, add blueberries and strawberries evenly in all 6.

Mix water and BCAA’s together. Let rest for 5 min then pour BCAA’s into popsicle molds until full.

Freeze until solid.

tip: Run warm water over the mold to help release the popcicle. when ready to enjoy.
